Gaia Herbs Microbiome Food | prebiotics are your friend!
You all may remember my post regarding the Gaia Herbs cleanse I was following. Well I’ve been seeing some nice results! And I wanted to do a little feature on the Microbiome Food before a final post detailing my thoughts on the experience, simply because I really, really like this little tub of joy.
So a lot of us take probiotics, but how many also incorporate a prebiotic into their daily nutrition regimen? I know I hadn’t been doing so.
Apparently, prebiotics offer the nourishment that your healthy digestive flora need to thrive within the GI tract. So if you stick the flora in there (probiotics), then prebiotics are a way to keep them healthy and fed and flourishing! Yay!
It’s so easy to just toss a tablespoon (they recommend a teaspoon to start and working your way up to a tablespoon) in some water and chug it between meals; the taste is fine, and the results are very nice. Used in accordance with the Microbiome Cleanse, at the risk of sharing too much info, I’ve been quite regular. :)
There are herbs in the Microbiome Food that also aide in soothing digestive upset, including relief from occasional gas, bloating, and cramping. It also supports immune health, digestive health, function, and regularity, as I mentioned.
Even if you don’t use the Microbiome Food in conjunction with a cleanse, I think it would be a great idea to take some for at least a week or two at a time if you are feeling the digestive blues. Your flora just might need some feeding!
Happy digesting.
