“New Year, New Me” Wellness Initiative: Week 5

And we’re back again for my Sunday report! Week 5 already…the 28th will be here before we know it and I’ll be a glowing, perfect version of myself. Right? RIGHT?!

Lol. We all know that health and wellness are both a never-ending journey, or at least we should know. I don’t think that perfection can ever truly be attained; there is always something to learn and some way we can grow as human beings.

But there’s no harm in trying your best to be the healthiest, most active and able person you can be!

So, here’s my report.

My Sakara: Total Body Reset ended this week! I absolutely loved everything about it, but I should have done the 5-Day breakfast/lunch/dinner instead of 3-Day breakfast/dinner, as I think I mentioned last week. It would give me less chances to fall off the wagon, as it were.

To that end, starting this Tuesday I’ll be receiving the Sakara Signature Meal Program for a a whole week, which includes breakfast/lunch/dinner, so I will be exercising and sticking to a whole-food plant-based regimen more closely! Yay!

30 Day Reset

I’ve still been taking my Sakara Rx: The Foundation supplements faithfully every day, as well as using the Metabolism Super Powder in my smoothies. I alternate the protein in my smoothie between Sakara’s Organic Protein + Greens Super Powder and Orgain’s Organic Plant Based Protein powder (usually the peanut butter flavor!).

As for exercise, my home gym has really come in handy. The live classes on my fit tech equipment in particular are so. much. fun. And motivating!

I love it when my name gets shouted out when I’m trying to pulse my leg in a barre class, or when I’m cleaning a kettlebell during a strength + cardio class. :)

My Velocore bike from Bowflex is saving my life with its streaming services as I crush workouts and binge-watch Bridgerton, lol. You can snag the Bowflex Velocore via my link, or go for their smaller and affordable C6 and use your own tablet for whatever workouts you’d like!

My weight and measurements haven’t changed much, but a month isn’t enough time to see significant results, especially with water weight and gaining muscle. As many of you know, the scale isn’t an accurate indicator of health. So I’m still happy with what I’m seeing, which is a huge improvement in stamina and strength.

Self-Care-wise, I’ve been trying out more fun makeup via tarté cosmetics, Ecco Bella, and of course using my OSEA Malibu Red Algae Mask just to name a few fun rituals I’ve been partaking in.
