“New Year, New Me” Wellness Initiative: End of Week 1

It’s the end of the first week of my New Year, New Me initiative! Wow, time flew.

I definitely got off to a slower start than I would have liked, since the New Year’s holiday was in the middle of the week and family duties always seem to intervene in anything I’d like to do self-care-wise, but I did get a great start on my diet.

I managed to cut back 80% on bread and 90% on sugar, but for half a glass of champagne on NYE. 

Some supplements and goodies I’m using in my daily diet routine this week include: 

Regrettably, sleep still eludes me and I’m at around 5 hours a night, so I’ll have to work on that. 

Whew…let’s see what next Sunday brings! Hopefully we’ll see a bit of a reduction in inches, but progress takes a while, as anyone knows who has done any kind of program like this before. (Factor in the water weight, time of day, and the fact that it always takes time to lose fat and gain muscle! :D ) 

Also, starting Tuesday January 5th I’ll be joining Sakara for their 4-week Total Body Reset!! I’ll be doing the 3-Day plan for breakfast and dinner, but there are varying start dates and you can do up to 5 Days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you’d like.
