The Solawave brand has been making significant strides in the skincare community with its innovative and multifunctional devices for quite some time, judging by their increasingly viral status on Instagram, TikTok, and beyond.

As a skincare enthusiast and purchaser of the early editions of their tools, I was thrilled to be able to test both the updated 4-in-1 Skincare Wand AND the new 2-in-1 Skincare Mini device recently.

Here's my comprehensive take on both devices:

Solawave 4-in-1 Skincare Wand & Activating Serum Kit

First Impressions:

The Solawave 4-in-1 Skincare Wand boasts an instantly recognizable modern design that feels both luxurious and practical. The kit includes the wand (which comes with a USB charging cable and a carrying case), plus the new and improved Skin Therapy Activating Serum.

The new wand combines galvanic current, red light therapy, therapeutic warmth, and facial massage in one device; I was super excited to try it, since I had the older version of the wand.

I had enjoyed the benefits of that device, so what could I expect from the new upgrade?

The following, according to Solawave:

1. Upgraded strength to reduce the appearance of fine lines, de-puff, and energize the skin

2. Now with Galvanic Current to help your skin better absorb serums & creams

3. Twice the Red Light Therapy for vibrant, glowing skin

Usage Experience:

Using the wand is a delight.

After applying the activating serum, you glide the wand over your skin in slow, upward motions. There is a handy little insert that shows you how it should be done if you are confused, but it is very intuitive and easy to use.

The combination of warmth, red light, and galvanic current provides a soothing, spa-like experience at home. The wand is lightweight and easy to maneuver, making the process enjoyable, and the rotating head makes adjusting to different areas as you glide quite simple as well.

Results:

Within a few weeks, I observed a significant improvement in my skin’s texture and tone. The red light therapy helped reduce redness and inflammation, while the galvanic current provided a subtle lift.

My skin felt more hydrated, plump, and radiant as I used the Solabiome gel cleanser and activating serum to let the wand glide more smoothly.

Pros:

• Combines multiple skincare technologies in one device

• Easy and enjoyable to use

• Noticeable improvements in skin texture, tone, and hydration

• Lightweight and portable, and features a chic design

Cons:

• The red light can sometimes bother the eyes; be sure not to look at the wand directly!

• The magnetic charging port can sometimes disconnect easily, so keep an eye on that.

• The activating serum tends to dry out quickly, needing frequent reapplication during use. (It can get a bit goopy.)

Verdict:

The Solawave 4-in-1 Skincare Wand is a fantastic multifunctional device that delivers on its promises.

I would definitely say that it is a worthwhile addition to any skincare routine, especially if you are looking to address multiple skin concerns with one tool.

Solawave 2-in-1 Skincare Mini Device

First Impressions:

The 2-in-1 Skincare Mini device offers a compact, simplified version of the 4-in-1 Wand, focusing on red and near-infrared light therapy and therapeutic warmth.

Its small size and handheld design makes it ideal for targeted treatments and travel. Plus it’s just so CUTE. <3

Usage Experience:

This mini device is perfect for quick touch-ups or on-the-go treatments. It fits easily in a handbag, allowing for skincare maintenance anywhere, anytime.

The red and near-infrared light therapy helps in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin firmness and elasticity, while the therapeutic warmth soothes and de-puffs the skin.

I found it super easy to use, as intended!

Results:

While the Mini device is not as powerful as its larger counterpart, it still provides noticeable benefits.

I found it excellent for quick lifts, reducing minor redness and inflammation, and maintaining overall skin health.

It’s especially useful for keeping results between full treatments with the larger wand. (In my case, the easier and more compact the better, as I’m always running around!)

Pros:

• Compact and travel-friendly

• Easy to use for quick treatments

• Effective for reducing fine lines and improving skin firmness

• Most affordable red light device I’ve encountered

Cons:

• Less powerful than the 4-in-1 Wand, so it may not provide as dramatic results

• Limited to red and near-infrared light therapy and warmth, which may not be enough for some users

• Requires frequent recharging, which can be inconvenient

Verdict:

The 2-in-1 Skincare Mini device is an excellent portable option and a great lil’ companion to the 4-in-1 Wand, offering convenience and targeted treatments wherever you are!
