SolaWave LightBoost Review | new drop, new me!

I am always on the hunt for skincare + tech that actually delivers, and today I’m diving into SolaWave’s latest skincare launch, LightBoost*.

This isn’t just a “new and improved” version of what SolaWave already offers skincare-wise—LightBoost is a serious step up in aiding the effects of at-home light therapy. After putting it to the test, I’m excited to share the results, the science, and whether it’s worth adding to your skincare arsenal.

*SolaWave was kind enough to send me the LightBoost line to review! This post contains some affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on said links. This supports the site at no cost to you; thanks for reading.

First Impressions: What Is LightBoost?

LightBoost is essentially a new line of topicals specifically designed to work with SolaWave’s light therapy tools.

Here’s the breakdown on each product and what they do:

  1. LightBoost Face & Neck Serum – This serum is all about reducing fine lines and giving skin a firmer look. It's light but packed with powerful ingredients to make skin glow.

  2. LightBoost Face & Neck Rich Cream – Perfect for when your skin needs an extra hydration boost, this rich cream strengthens the skin barrier and visibly softens aging signs. It layers well, so I used it in both my morning and night routines.

  3. LightBoost Wand Activating Serum – This serum is the one to use directly with the wand. It combines hyaluronic acid, ionic mineral complexes, and peptides to really enhance the light therapy effects and leave skin looking smoother.

  4. LightBoost Eye Cream – This is specifically for dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines around the eyes. I loved the immediate brightening effect, and after consistent use, I’ve seen an improvement in my under-eye area.

SolaWave is not just slapping a fancy name on a moisturizer, though. LightBoost formulas are loaded with active ingredients to work in sync with SolaWave’s red light therapy, boosting your skin’s response to light therapy and enhancing overall results.

Here’s what’s unique (and nice for someone like me who uses many different products): LightBoost isn’t trying to replace your entire skincare lineup; instead, it aims to fit right in by powering up what you’re already doing.

The Experience: How Does It Work with SolaWave Tools?

Using LightBoost with my SolaWave wand felt natural—it didn’t disrupt my routine or feel like an extra chore. The formula itself has a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly (no greasy residue), which is crucial if you are like me and prefer to layer without feeling like a glazed donut. ;)

I noticed an almost immediate boost in hydration, and it gave my skin a plump, fresh look after each session.

The real magic, though, is in how the line complements the red light therapy. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that my skin seems smoother and a bit brighter. Some of those pesky fine lines around my eyes are looking softer, and the texture around my cheeks (where I tend to have uneven tone) has improved.

Basically, LightBoost is doing what it promises: enhancing results without the need for more intense, time-consuming treatments.

So, Is It Worth It?

LightBoost has definitely earned its place in my skincare lineup.

If you are already using a SolaWave tool, this is a no-brainer addition. And if you are new to light therapy, it is a good introduction to seeing real benefits at home without a hefty price tag for professional treatments.

In short, LightBoost delivered on its promises, bringing noticeable improvements to my skin’s tone, texture, and overall glow. It is powerful, easy to use, and integrated seamlessly into my existing routine.

Let me know if you try it! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Until next time - Xoxo
