Product Review | Gaia Herbs | Mind Spring
So I’ve been taking this Mind Spring supplement in the mornings now for about two weeks. I have been trying different remedies these days to boost both my immune system and also my brain. Maybe especially my brain, as I want to stay on top of my game whilst also staying home as much as possible due to the pandemic looming large.
The company that makes Mind Spring, Gaia Herbs, has been on my radar and in my cabinet for years, and I have always admired their transparency, clean ingredients (they are screened for heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial contaminants), and “seed to shelf” practices. They’ve been at this for 30 years, and every formulation of theirs I’ve tried over the years has been better than the last. They only improve on formulas when new ones emerge, that’s for sure!
Therefore, when I saw Mind Spring, I pounced on it. Adaptogenic mushrooms plus memory boosting herbs? GIMMIE.
A few bullet points:
Mind Spring contains a synergistic blend of mushrooms and herbs traditionally taken for brain health and recall.
Made with Lion's Mane and Reishi mushrooms combined with herbs including Turmeric, Ginkgo, Gotu Kola, and Holy Basil.
This powder can be added to a smoothie, dairy or non-dairy milk, or any other beverage of choice.
No added fillers, flavors, or sweeteners.
Yup, I was looking for just that.
I started shaking it up with coconut milk in a blender bottle in the mornings, but then decided to get one of those little personal blenders that allow one to blend and then drink the concoction straight from the blender vessel itself. So convenient! And no chance of little turmeric-heavy chunks that get stuck in the teeth.
The taste is quite nice; it has almost a molasses-esque flavor from the earthy mushrooms and herbs, and there is no bitter taste.
Regarding my brain health and recall, I do feel alert and peppy after taking the supplement for two weeks, and I see a difference in recall. I was more sluggish before and a little less detail-oriented, whereas now I am raring to go.
I would suggest consistently taking the product for the effects to take place, though, because after a week or so I didn’t really notice a difference, but around the 12th day I definitely did.
I think I will keep taking it for another week or so to see what happens, just for fun! :) Although I’m going to need to get a teeth whitening kit, because this turmeric is no joke.
If you’d like to try Mind Spring, you can snag it from Gaia Herbs, or my Amazon store, along with lots of their other products that I’ve used in the past.
