My Journey to Migraine Relief: How the CEFALY Connected Device Is Helping Me Manage My Migraines

CEFALY Connected Migraine Relief Device

Staying #MigraineFreeWithConnected | CEFALY was kind enough to gift me one of their CEFALY Connected devices to review for this article | #ad

As someone who has suffered from migraines for years, I have tried many different treatment options to alleviate the pain and frequency of my attacks, from medication to herbal remedies. However, none of them have been as helpful as the CEFALY Connected Device.

Before using CEFALY, I was experiencing migraines at least twice a month, which made it difficult to maintain a regular work schedule and enjoy time with family and friends. The pain was often debilitating, and I would have to spend days in bed trying to recover.

When I first heard about the CEFALY device, I was skeptical. I had never heard of external trigeminal nerve stimulation (eTNS) before, and the idea of using a device that transmits electric currents to my forehead seemed strange.

However, I was willing to try anything to alleviate the pain, so I decided to give it a shot.

The CEFALY Connected Device is a Bluetooth-enabled device that syncs with the CeCe Migraine Management app to help optimize your treatments. CEFALY is the #1 FDA cleared device that not only provides drug-free relief from migraines, it also helps prevent them from even happening.

It works by gradually desensitizing the trigeminal nerve, which is the primary pathway for migraine pain.

People with migraines have hypersensitive nervous systems that overreact to stimuli, causing pain and neurological dysfunction. The trigeminal nerve is the major conductor of migraine pain, so targeting it can significantly reduce the frequency and severity of migraines.

The CEFALY device is easy to use. You simply attach an adhesive electrode to your forehead and turn on the device. It transmits a mild electric current to the trigeminal nerve, which stimulates and desensitizes it over time.

The device has two modes: ACUTE and PREVENT.

The ACUTE mode is used at the first sign of a migraine attack to relieve pain. If you're new to using the CEFALY device, it's recommended that you start at a low intensity and gradually increase it over time as you get used to the device.

The PREVENT mode is used every day to prevent future migraine attacks. It's important to use the device daily for at least two to three months to see results. Occasional or brief use of the PREVENT mode will not be effective. Just like you need a regular workout routine to build muscles, you need a daily PREVENT routine to desensitize the trigeminal nerve.

I started using the CEFALY device in PREVENT mode every day as directed, and was surprised at how easy it was to use; it only took a few minutes out of my day to complete a session.

At first I didn't notice any significant changes, but I was determined to continue using it regularly.

After a few weeks, I started to notice a difference.

The frequency and severity of my migraines were decreasing, and I was able to go longer periods without experiencing a migraine.

The ACUTE mode was also helpful when I did have a migraine, and I found that it provided relief much faster than other treatments I had tried.

Using the CEFALY device has also helped me identify some of my migraine triggers. The CeCe Migraine Management app allows you to track your migraine attacks and identify patterns. I've noticed that stress and lack of sleep are major triggers for me, so I try to manage those as best as I can.

Now, several months later, I am happy to report that the CEFALY Connected Device has been a game-changer for me.

I still experience migraines, but the frequency and severity have decreased significantly. I'm able to enjoy more time with family and friends and maintain a regular work schedule without worrying about the debilitating pain of a migraine.

Overall, I highly recommend the CEFALY Connected Device to anyone who experiences migraines.

It may take a few weeks to see results, but it's worth it for the relief and improvement in quality of life it can provide. The CEFALY device has helped me manage my migraines, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my experience with others.
