Holiday Gift Spotlight: Bowflex T22 Treadmill + My Recovery Story

*Bowflex kindly gifted me this fabulous machine to enhance my recovery and review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Hello, hello! December is finally in full swing here in Las Vegas, and the holiday vibes are palpable. Our tree is up, hot cocoa is flowing, and Lady Cat is hanging out in the bed to snuggle and getting mad when we move an inch.

Today I am excited to bring you a post that has been a few months in the making: my comprehensive review of the (extremely giftable) Bowflex T22 Treadmill.

As some of you may know, the past few months I was recovering from a minor but significant surgery.

This treadmill, gifted generously by my partners at Bowflex, was a game-changer as I eased back into my routine.

When it comes to high-performance treadmills, the T22 is one of the best (if not the best) option on the market Not only does it have amazing specs, but it also offers an incredibly versatile and engaging fitness experience. (I've even been streaming some of my Peloton classes through it!)

First Impressions and Aesthetics

As soon as the Bowflex 22 Treadmill arrived, I was struck by its sleek, modern design.

This is not your average hunk of gym equipment; this is an elegant, high-quality piece of machinery that integrated seamlessly into my home gym.

Its large, 22-inch HD touchscreen makes it look more like a futuristic console rather than a mere treadmill.

Vik and Raul are the real MVPs! (Bowflex had kindly arranged a team to come set the T22 up but we just couldn’t wait, lol!)

Performance and Specs

Aesthetic is all well and good, but I’ll tell you what the T22 can’t be beat in—the performance.

The treadmill features a robust motor, which ensures that it runs smoothly, no matter how intense your workout, and its speed range is between 0.5 to 12 MPH, making it suitable for everyone, from casual walkers to seasoned sprinters.

Plus, the incline can be adjusted up to a steep 20%, providing ample room for a challenging uphill workout on the wide * 22" W x 60" L running path.

There are ample cup holders, a fan, and definitely enough space to set up a little work station as I’ve taken to doing lately.

22-Inch HD Touchscreen

What also sets the T22 apart from its competitors is the massive 22-inch HD touchscreen.

Not only does it provide a clear and vivid display for your workout metrics, but it also lets you stream content.

You’ll need to pay for a JRNY Membership ($19.99 a month I believe, with a 2-month free trial at sign-up!), and once you do, you can take trainer-led classes via Bowflex, or just pick a class that allows you to both work out and stream your Netflex, HULU. Disney+, or Amazon Prime accounts at the same time.

And as I mentioned above, working out with your current Peloton membership is also an option! You can connect your phone or ipad to the T22 via Bluetooth, take the class on your device, and your metrics will also show up on the Bowflex screen.

Connectivity and Compatibility

In terms of connectivity, as I mentioned above, the T22 offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, allowing you to sync your devices easily. You can stream music, join virtual fitness classes, or even catch up on your favorite shows while you work out.

Comfort and Usability

When it comes to comfort, the Comfort Tech™ deck cushioning system delivers. It significantly reduces the impact on your joints, making for a much more comfortable running experience.

I did find that the treadmill can shake a little once you start full-out running, so make sure to cushion it with the appropriate mat if you are placing it on tile.

Hubby had to check it out. <3

Price and Value

The Bowflex 22 Treadmill is an investment at $2799 (see my exclusive deal above to save $300!), but let me tell you, it's worth every penny.

When you factor in the advanced features, durability, streaming capabilities, and the incredible versatility it offers, the price tag makes sense.

This is not just a treadmill; it's an all-in-one fitness solution for those serious about their wellness journey and/or recovery like me.

All set up and ready to go!

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Bowflex 22 Treadmill has far exceeded my expectations. Its exceptional specs, top-tier performance, and added functionalities (like its fabulous streaming capabilities) make it a compelling choice for anyone looking to take their home workouts to the next level.

So, if you're on the fence about investing in or gifting a high-end treadmill, take it from me—this one is a game-changer.

From its sleek design to its high performance, the Bowflex 22 Treadmill checks all the boxes.

Happy running, everyone!

Two Months of Recovery and Revitalization: My Journey with the Bowflex 22 Treadmill

As previously stated, I’ve been steadily using the T22 at home in conjunction with my local Pilates studio to get myself back on track after a minor but significant surgery.

I thought that having a consistent but gentle workout routine would yield results, and if you’ve been following my outfit photos and IG stories via social media, you will likely recognize my transformation!

Still, I wanted to post my personal, if scattered thoughts as I journaled them throughout this process, so here you go. :)

Week 1: Setting the Foundation

Day 1

Today, we took the plunge and set up my Bowflex T22 Treadmill.

Even in these early stages, I can tell it's going to be an instrumental part of my wellness journey.

Can’t wait to start!

Day 5

Started slowly, focusing on walking to ease into the routine. The Comfort Tech™ deck cushioning is already making a huge difference, and I watched a documentary while I walked.

Week 2: Picking Up the Pace

Day 10

Feeling much better, still a bit weak, but have started incorporating a few moments of light jogs.

I also streamed my first Peloton class through the fab 22-inch HD screen and my iPad. Sorry, Alex Toussant - I can’t run that fast right now!

Week 3: Exploring Incline

Day 17

I added some sick hills into my routine by using the incline feature. Let’s gooo~

A challenging but rewarding change. I feel like I'm getting stronger!

Week 4: Feeling the Flow

Day 28

Four weeks in, and I can already see and feel some changes.

My stamina is improving, and my recovery time is quicker.

Plus, the fan keeps me cool during those intense sessions. I set up a little acrylic tray across the side handles and have been working on my laptop while watching my shows.

Week 5: Customizing Workouts

Day 35

I've begun to personalize my workouts a bit more and set up a series of interval trainings that suit my recovery pace.

I also streamed a dedicated Peloton class for interval training, but took it easy. Those classes are killer!

Week 6: Halfway Mark

Day 42

I can't believe it's been six weeks already! I think I found my sweet spot with speed and incline, while still managing to not aggravate any sutures.

Week 7: Consistency is Key

Day 49

Seven weeks in, and consistency has been my bff. I haven't missed a single day (I wanted to alternate between 3-4 sessions a week), and the results are starting to show. :D

Week 8: Reflecting on the Journey

Day 56

As I wrap up my two-month recovery journey with the Bowflex T22, I'm filled with gratitude; not only for the physical gains but also for the mental clarity and wellness I've achieved.

Day 60

I did a recap Peloton class today and compared my metrics to Day 10. The improvements are undeniable.

From pace to stamina, I've seen progress!! Yay!!

Final Thoughts

Over the past two months, the T22 has been more than just a machine—it's been a partner in my recovery journey.

I look forward to continuing this partnership as I move into the next phase of my wellness adventure.

Here's to many more strides, both on and off the treadmill!

Happy running!

Xoxo
